Step 1: Open the GIS Mapping Application
Step 2: Locate Your House
1. Choose "Find Address" from Locate Bar.![]()
2. Type in your address, using only your street name and number—without abbreviations such as RD, ST, WY.
3. Your house will appear with a red thumb tack on it.
4. You can right click on your address in the search results box to zoom or pan to it.
Step 3: Explore the Map Layers
1. Check the boxes in front of the map layers you wish to see. It is helpful to start with one or two layers at a time.
2. One you check the box, you can expand the layer by clicking on the + sign next to the box. If there are sub boxes, be sure these are also checked. This will also show the layer symbols
3. Some layers will not appear unless the map is zoomed in. To zoom in use the zoom tool ![]()
4. For more information about a layer, pick up the identify tool and click on the feature. Note that the identify tool will give you information about the layer closest to the top. If you are not able to get information on the layer you need, try un checking the layers above the desired layer.
Step 4: Find Your Closest Master Watershed Steward
1. Be sure “Master Stewards” layer checked in Map Contents.
2. Find the pink triangle closest to your house.
3. Use the Zoom Tool to zoom in close to the triangle.
4. Use the Identify Tool to find the name of that Master Watershed Steward in the Pink Triangle.
6. Click here to e-mail the stewards in your watershed or area.
